Chris Ney

Chairman and
Chief Executive Officer

As Chairman and CEO, Chris oversees Magnitude Software’s overall corporate vision and strategic direction, and drives the company’s acquisition, integration, and growth strategies to extend its global reach.

Under his leadership, Magnitude Software has developed an unparalleled customer experience, strengthened its culture of innovation, and greatly increased profitability and shareholder value. In September 2014, Ney successfully secured up to $100 million in capital to further build Magnitude Software through product innovation, organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

Ney was previously the co-founder and president of Silverback Enterprise Group, where the team completed the strategic acquisition of nine industry-leading enterprise software companies and leveraged their synergies to build two powerful new entities: Magnitude Software and Upland Software. Magnitude Software offers a family of award-winning applications, from business intelligence and data warehousing to master data management, reporting and analytics. Upland Software (UPLD: Nasdaq) went public in late 2014 and is a leading provider of cloud-based enterprise work management software, with more than 1,200 active enterprise customers and over 300,000 active users in more than 50 countries.

Prior to co-founding Silverback, Ney was CEO of a series of Trilogy/Versata portfolio software companies. He previously served as chairman of the board, CEO and founder of CoreTrac, a financial services CRM software company. Ney began his career working for investment banking firms Lehman Brothers and UBS. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Texas A&M University.

Kevin Mischnick

Senior Vice President,
Finance and Accounting

Kevin is responsible for driving financial results for Magnitude Software and ensuring the company’s financial objectives are achieved.

As SVP of F&A, Kevin brings more than 25 years of extensive financial experience to Magnitude Software. His background includes building and transforming financial teams into high performing units, implementing systems and processes focused on cost savings and efficiency and raising nearly $100 million in investor capital.

Previously, Kevin served as Senior Vice President of Finance for Multimedia Games, Inc. and Capstar Broadcasting Corporation. Under his financial leadership, the market values of both companies increased over 10 fold and led to merger valuations of $1.2 billion and $19.4 billion, respectively. Kevin is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas Tech University.

Lou Guercia

President

Lou serves as president of Magnitude Software and is responsible for the successful execution of the company’s strategic objectives and global operations.

With more than 30 years of experience starting and growing profitable technology companies, Lou provides the general management and strong go-to-market sales, marketing and channel expertise needed to drive scalable growth. Customer success and delivering business value are his passion and priority.

As part of the acquisition strategy, his focus is on maximizing channel synergy with target companies to enhance our value as an Enterprise Information Management leader, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our customers and partners.

Lou held leadership roles at several privately funded companies that have resulted in four successful exits. Most recently he was CEO of both Scribe Software, a data integration solutions company, and WebDialogs, a SaaS-based web conferencing provider that was acquired by IBM. At IBM Lou served as Director of Strategy and Operations for Online Collaboration Services within Software Group. Lou began his career in sales at Xerox and holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of New Hampshire.

Susie Buehler

Chief People Officer

Susie is responsible for leading the strategic and operational aspects of Magnitude Software’s human resources and organizational development, focusing on business success through people success.

Susie is a seasoned business leader with over 25 years experience in technology recruitment, HR management and operations, and strategic HR business partnership in rapid-growth high-tech companies, start-up and established, domestic and international, with significant M&A activity. She holds a bachelors degree from Texas Tech University and a Masters degree from Rice University.

Mihir Shah

Executive Vice President,
Corporate Development and Strategy

Mihir is responsible for developing and executing strategies and plans to acquire businesses and establish strategic revenue-producing partnerships for Magnitude Software.

Mihir is a technology executive with over 15 years experience across Enterprise Software, Computer Networking and Semiconductor segments. He has broad functional experience including Strategy, M&A, Business Development, Private Equity and R&D. He holds a bachelors degree from Birla Vishwakarma Mahavidyalaya, a Master of Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and an MBA from The University of Chicago — Booth School of Business.

Darren Peirce

Vice President of Products
and Chief Technology Officer

Darren Peirce is responsible for assessing Magnitude Software’s technology direction and evaluating new technologies in support of the company’s product strategy.

As CTO, Darren serves as our top technology spokesperson. Darren also plays a key role in developing and maturing key partnerships with leading technology companies. Darren previously served as group vice president of product management at Kalido. Prior to this role, he was lead solution architect and manager of the professional services organization in the United Kingdom, after joining Royal Dutch Shell as a senior consultant in 1998. Darren received a degree in management from Intec College in Cape Town, South Africa and studied Economics at the University of Stellenbosch.

Amyn Rajan

General Manager,
Connectivity Solutions

As General Manager, Amyn focuses on growing the Simba business as the Connectivity Solutions unit of Magnitude Software.

With more than 25 years of software industry experience, Amyn joins Magnitude as product evangelist and thought leader. His responsibilities include facilitating the pursuit of strategic opportunities along with driving the go to market plan for Magnitude Software’s data connectivity solutions business.

Amyn’s previous experience includes CEO of Simba Technologies where he built a leading data connectivity company whose software was embedded by giants including Amazon, Microsoft, SAP, and Teradata. Prior to Simba, Amyn was CEO of Orbital Technologies where he built a leading software development services company whose customers included Adobe and Microsoft. Both of the companies that Amyn built were done using organic growth and without any outside funding. Amyn’s background is software development and his passion is developing leading edge technology and building successful, long-term business relationships.

Amyn was named a recipient of Business in Vancouver magazine’s Forty Under 40 in 2007, an award recognizing excellence and achievement in business. He was appointed Co-Chair of the Faculty of Applied Sciences External Advisory Council at Simon Fraser University in 2011. Amyn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Simon Fraser University.

Karen McPhillips

Vice President,
Marketing

The mind that opens to a new idea never returns to its original state

Karen McPhillips drives marketing strategy and operational execution to grow the company profile, revenue and market position.

Leveraging 20+ years of transformational marketing experience, Karen fuels Magnitude’s corporate and existing portfolio marketing, collaborating to maximize the company’s business strategy while also supporting integration of acquired products and services.

Karen has served on leadership teams of public and private companies of all sizes, transforming marketing functions and generating both tangible and intangible value. Most recently at PlumChoice, she and her team repositioned the brand and metamorphosed the marketing function in support of the company’s pivot from IT support provider to leader in the cloud services and Internet of Things spaces. At Iron Mountain and its technology arm, Iron Mountain Digital, she created new marketing functions, introduced the marketing operations discipline, and spearheaded a closed-loop leads-to-revenue framework coupled with a brand-to-demand communication platform that raised the bar on marketing’s revenue influence. Prior to Iron Mountain, Karen held marketing leadership roles with SaaS back-up leader, Connected Corporation (acquired by Iron Mountain), and SilverStream Software, contributing to the company’s IPO and acquisition by Novell.

Karen earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from St. Michael’s College in Vermont.
